4th R – The Creation of Peace filled Relationships
Presented
by Sharyl Allen and Elaheh Sari
This is an active presentation that will allow participants to experience the correlation between creating meaningful relationships that result create a culture of peace. Creating peace filled relationships begins with the ability to see the uniqueness of self and others. This workshop will absolutely re-energize people and allow them learn in a unique, creative way. The Strategies of The Virtues Project™ coupled with small group activities that allow individuals to experience self-empowerment on multiple levels will leave participants excited and committed to their own personal revolution that will allow them to be peace filled ambassadors. These tools will help us mentor our children, care for ourselves, and build safe and caring schools and communities by inspiring the practice of these principles in our every day life.
The language of
the virtues helps us replace shaming and blaming with personal responsibility
and respect. It is a frame of
reference for bringing out the best in children and us.
It helps us to become the kind of people we want to be.
It allows us to create peace filled homes, schools, neighborhoods, and
minds.
Recognizing the
gifts and lessons in our daily challenges helps us to cultivate character in
others and ourselves. When we have
the humility and confidence to learn from our mistakes, every stumbling block
becomes a stepping-stone. Peace
begins with seeing the opportunity to learn.
Exploring the
relationship between love and courage will aid us in our quest for honoring the
unique qualities of others and honoring the differences that create hope.
We are human
beings having a mortal experience. Doubts
and fears often cause us to act in ways that hurt others and ourselves.
The ability to recognize the doubts and fears for what they are and to
overcome them using the self-empowerment tools taught in this workshop provides
key principles that every individual and teacher will find useful in their
classrooms, their homes and their communities.
