Almost everyone has some idea of a world that would be fit for our children. Countless scholars have presented vivid pictures of such an ideal world. Leaders from all over the world have organized numerous conferences and devoted days and weeks to develop the description of such a world. But unfortunately little has been done towards moving in that direction. Everyone appears to be stymied by the problem, ‘Who will bell the cat?’

It has been said that out of every thousand persons, who know what needs to be done, hardly one or two actually start doing it. The main reason for this is the lack of sufficient courage. In this talk Gandhi shows how you as an individual can muster that courage and set the wheel in motion in order to move in the direction of the world fit for our children. Supported by practical tips and personal experience examples this talk will inspire almost every patient listener.

Brief Bio

Shall Sinha, Ph.D.

Shall Sinha was born in the same area where Gandhi practiced his first Satyagraha movement in India. Since the movement brought miraculous relief to the local people, they started treating Gandhi as a messenger of God. Shall recalls that there was hardly any aspect of his life which was not guided or influenced by Gandhi’s techniques or principles. Though Shall pursued a career in Engineering, and earned undergraduate as well as graduate degrees, Gandhi’s influence dominated all his interests and finally he decided to concentrate on the study, practice and dissemination of Gandhi’s teachings.

For the last twenty years Dr. Sinha has been studying ‘the Origin, Development and Application of Satyagraha for Resolving Conflicts, Fostering Peace and Making a Better World to live in’. He has authored four books including a compilation of 4000+ Quotations by Gandhi, arranged under 300+ topics and published under the title, Words of Wisdom from Mahatma Gandhi.
