REGINA LULKA BIOGRAPHY
Regina Lulka (AMI, BAH, MEd) was born in
Mexico
, where she studied under Nan
Hanrath, who was a student of Dr. Montessori herself.
Regina
began her Montessori
training as the younger of her two daughters joined her sister in a Casa dei
Bambini or Children’s House (the Montessori
term for Early Childhood Education). Upon
moving to
Toronto
,
Regina
directed her first
classroom, and continued to work with and learn from children for 19 years.
She has since been teaching teachers at
Sheridan
College
and Toronto Montessori
Teacher Training Institute, working with schools, and speaking about the wonders
of Montessori Education. Peace
education is a matter of course in a Montessori classroom, and so is part of
Regina
’s background.
She is frequently invited to talk about Peace and education by a variety
of groups, and is always pleased to further explore the subject.
Regina
received her Masters of
Education with a specialization in Teacher Development in 2002.
She believes that the process of self-transformation is never ending for
the dedicated educator.
