The Peace and Conflict Communication Commission
(PCCC) is a unit of the National Communication Association comprised of
academics and practitioners dedicated to the study of peace, conflict and
communication. The purpose of this Commission shall be to promote
teaching, research and practice by communication scholars and professional
practitioners toward the understanding, management, and resolution of disputes
at all levels: intrapersonal, interpersonal, and intergroup in personal,
community, national, and international contexts. Visit the web site at http://chadwick.jlmc.iastate.edu/pccc/about.html .
In
addition, the searchable database is up and running. It's populated with few
entries so far, but as people enter their information I believe this will become
a useful way for us to build connections among our community of teachers and
scholars. The URL for the database is http://www.jlmc.iastate.edu/pccc .
