Leadership and the behaviour of leaders is a controversial subject in peace circles. The intended outcome will be a better understanding of the importance of leadership with respect to peace, how leaders might serve better, and how we can hold them accountable. Includes training on Situational Leadership and Servant Leadership. Utilizing a number of videos to stimulate learning and discussion. See our draft Agenda below. Refer to http://www.peace.ca/peaceleader.htm for examples. We will table the results of the Leadership and Peace workshop for group consideration at the Fourth Annual Peace Education Conference in Canada which follows.
Our methodology will be one of "co-learning", with the assistance of several valuable resources. If you would like to know more about the style we wish to follow, see "Modelling Education in a Culture of Peace" Background References
