Karen Dalkie is a Program Manager at the Canadian Bureau for International Education and was responsible for conflict resolution projects in Haiti and Lebanon. She holds a Masters degree in International Affairs, Conflict Analysis and is currently managing another peace education project in Serbia as well as other peace education development work at CBIE. Karen represents CBIE on the Executive Committee of the Canadian Peacebuilding Coordinating Committee, on the International Advisory Board of Peaceful Schools International, and on the Canada-Japan NGO-Government Working Group on Peacebuilding. She has also presented papers at various national conferences including the 6th Annual Peacebuilding Consultations at the Department of Foreign Affairs and International Trade, and the "Safer Schools, Safer Communities" conference in Waterloo, Ontario.
