WARNING AND DISCLAIMER
This Warning and Disclaimer is addressed to you whether reading these pages for yourself or on behalf of another person (such as an employer).

It is your responsibility to draw the contents of this page to the attention of any other person on whose behalf you read these pages. It is also your responsibility to draw the contents of this page to the attention of anyone who may gain access in any way through you to other pages on this site without first reading this page.

Canadian Centres for Teaching Peace is located in Canada and is an incorporated non-profit society under Canadian legislation.  CCTP stands for Canadian Centres for Teaching Peace.

The following pages contain a selection of material concerning peace building which is for information only. Canadian Centres for Teaching Peace may at any time:

  1. alter the contents of the CCTP pages; and/or
  2. refer the reader to other sites on the World Wide Web; and/or

WARNING

The reader must be satisfied that he or she may lawfully seek to access the CCTP pages, read the CCTP pages and/or act upon the material in the CCTP pages. CCTP accepts no responsibility for the decisions made by the reader in respect of these matters. Decisions may need to be reviewed as the contents of the site or local laws change. The disclaimer below is intended to prevent Canadian Centres for Teaching Peace's Web contents from being mistaken for official documents in the strict legal sense, even while the CCTP Web is a reliable source of accurate information. E.g., it is not possible for the institution to control all aspects of its presence on the Internet on an accountable basis, as in the case of outside sources linked to our pages

DISCLAIMER

CCTP does not:

CCTP accepts no responsibility or liability for the contents of the CCTP pages or for any reliance placed by any person on any information in them. Home Pages of other Societies, Clubs & Organisations referred to by CCTP are individually responsible for their content and expression of opinions. No endorsement or liability is attributable to the CCTP. Neither CCTP nor the author assume any responsibility for the content of any page reached through a link displayed here.

All articles, photos, etc. are used without permission of their creators (who legally hold their respective copyrights). Where known, all articles and photos include credit information (and individuals with further information are encouraged to submit it). The information presented here is simply collected from publicly aired and published sources. Most of the material presented here is available at public libraries, video stores, on Internet, etc. and that this site is in no way trying to infringe on the respective copyrights or businesses of these entities.

This material is distributed without profit to those who have expressed a prior interest in receiving the included information for research and educational purposes.  CCTP has no affiliation whatsoever with the originator of the articles nor is CCTP endorsed or sponsored by the originators.

While CCTP is sometimes characterized as "tilting left" (socialist, anti-capitalist, anti-United States, anti-government, anti-rich class, etc.), the premise is not partisan.  If many of the "shots" land on those leaders with wealth and power, that is largely because they do hold the wealth and power and should be expected to do more to build a better world, and are often contributing to many of the current negative influences in our communities and the world.  We strive for honest, truth, balance and transparency.  If you wish to provide a rebuttal, critique or additional information, we will be pleased to add it.

SPAM PROBLEMS

CCTP does not send out unsolicited emails (i.e. SPAM).  We have been experiencing a problem with Spammers using email addresses with the peace.ca domain name.  We regret this happening, but find that there is nothing that we can do to stop the abuse.  It appears that anyone can use a fake identification, and readers should be warned accordingly.  If you ever get email from peace.ca and are unsure about it, please contact stewartr [at] peace.ca

It is recommended that you read the Introduction to Peace Studies article when you start your quest for peace knowledge.

I accept the terms of the Warning and Disclaimer which bind me and any other person on whose behalf I read the pages.
