A PERSONAL MESSAGE FROM THE DIRECTOR : 
Executive Director FREDERIC MVEMBA MAYEMBE ( FEDE) was born in MBANZA
KONGO ( former San salvador ), provincia do Zaire, northern part of Angola. He
studied both in ANGOLA and abroad. Coming back to Angola in the 1990's after
many years abroad, he served as a local staff for the National electoral
council, during the presidential and legislative elections held in 1992.
In 1996, he was screened to work as switchboard operator and in capacity of
translator/interpreter for the United Nations Angola verification mission (UNAVEM
III) UN ID T-2882.
Later on, he travelled to NDALATANDO, not very far from MALANGE, where he worked
as a supervisor for demining. Between 1997 and 98, he became a
teacher at the national institute of telecommunications. During this
period, he wrote two important books, Verites indeniables pour une bonne
reconciliation nationale en Angola and the book " pacificacao de Angola:
Empenho e esforcos do presidente Jose Eduardo dos Santos, with Antonio Pedro
Francisco.
In 1999, the NGO AJODES, associacao dos jovens para o desenvolvimento
social invited him in order to work for project related to peace education and
human rights. in the same time he was teaching at the the faculty of engineering
(DIEE). it is in the course of this period he wrote another book UNDERSTANDING
THE ANGOLAN PROBLEM : A CHALLENGE TO THE GLOBAL COMMUNITY and had his first
contacts with Mr. MAJID TEHERANIAN of the TODA INSTITUTE FOR GLOBAL POLICY and
RESEARCH and Mr. ROBERT STEWART of the CANADIAN CENTRES FOR TEACHING
PEACE who projected ACTP, which becomes some days later a member of the
COALITION OF WORLD CENTRES FOR TEACHING PEACE.
Between 1999 and 2000, he served as minister for THE DEEPER CHRISTIAN LIFE
MINISTRIES -ANGOLA and as consultant for the ANGOLAN Y2K COMMISSION.
Frederic attended a lot of peace conferences at the national level and
abroad and wrote several articles on peace, conflict resolutions, human rights
and democracy.
His hobby include reading, writing, and travelling.
